Finding the fit is more than finding someone that can do the job. It is about aligning culture and vision. For the company it is about finding the person that believes in the mission, will relentlessly work to achieve the plan, and can collaborate with others seamlessly. For the candidate it is about finding the company that they can believe in, and that will place a high level in trust and value to what they are bringing to the table.

Finding the fit does not mean finding the easiest path to resistance. The best companies do not look for leaders that unquestionably toe the line. Similarly the best talent does not look to land with a company where the ideas they bring to the table are not challenged; great CEO's need Chief Medical Officers that will make it clear how a proposed clinical strategy can help or hurt the company and great CMO's need to know how to collaborate even though their medical training has trained them to not ask for help.
